True facts of NRIs visiting India

True Facts about Indian returning from overseas
When NRIs return to India after a long stay overseas they speak and behave as if they are living in Western countries !! We are sure majority of those who ever got in touch with NRI friends/relatives may have experienced one or more of the following fun facts !

  1. They try to use credit card in road-side Hotel.

  2. They drink and carry mineral water and always speak of health. (proving to be very health conscious).

  3. They sprays deodorant such so that they don’t need to take a bath.

  4. They sneeze and say ‘Excuse me’.

  5. If you come across an NRI, notice the way he/she speaks. A sudden change of words will leave you off guard and blinking! Words like – yep for yes, nope for no, yogurt for curds, cab for taxi, cookies for biscuit, and much more.

  6. Their made-up accent is something which is uncontrollably funny. NRIs who return to India have the made-up accents at least for a week or more, just to inform the others that theave studied or worked in the United States or any other foreign country.

  7. The change of sports is one of the most annoying things only an NRI does in India. The love for hockey and cricket cannot match up for their love of NBA and soccer.

  8. They begin to magically tear up when they are served spicy food, which is rather strange, since Indians are known for their spicy dishes and NRIs being Indians just cannot withstand the spice.

  9. If they see a cow on the road, which is supposed to be grazing, they feel like they just ran into a dinosaur, and starts taking picture. This is quite annoying and hilarious too

  10. Before they left India, it was dirty, and now when they have returned, the place has got a little more filthier according to them. The constant covering of the nose to avoid the pungent smell is one of the things only an NRI does in India

  11. One of the things only NRIs do in India is to get accustomed to their black water which is Coke, and to make it more specific, they only drink Diet coke!

  12. They says “Oh” instead of “Zero”, (for 704, s they ays Seven Oh Four instead of Seven Zero Four).

  13. They don’t forget to crib about air pollution and do that every time they step out of home.

  14. They says all the distances in miles (not in kilo,eters), and counts in millions(not in Lakhs).

  15. They try to to figure all the prices in dollars as far as possible (but deep down the heart multiply by 65 times).

  16. They try to see the % of fat on the cover of a milk packet.

  17. When they need to say Z (zed), never says Z (zed), but repeats “Zee” several times, if the other person is unable to get, then say X, Y, Zee (but never says Zed).

  18. They write date as MM/DD/YYYY and on watching traditional DD/MM/YYYY, says “Oh! British Style!!!!”.

  19. They make fun of Indian Standard time and Indian road conditions.

  20. Even after staying India for 2 months, they complaint about “jet lag”.

  21. They avoid eating more chili (hot) stuff.

  22. Tries to drink “Diet Coke”, instead of Normal Coke.

  23. Tries to complain about anything in India as if he is experiencing it for the first time.

  24. Pronounces “schedule” as “skejule”, and “module” as “mojule”.

  25. Looks suspiciously towards Hotel/Dhaba food.

  26. Wears ‘cargo’ pants and uses the pockets as temporary trash carriers and dumps the contents into real dustbins, if one is found at all. Toilet tissues also find their place in the pant pockets and in ladies’ handbags.

  27. From the luggage bag, does not remove the stickers of Airways by which he traveled back to India, even after 4 months of arrival.

  28. Secretly craves in India about his lap dance encounters in the USA!.

  29. The need of tissues has become a trend and going to the loo without that roll of toilet paper somehow feels illegal. This is one of the things only an NRI does in India.

  30. And The Ultimate One:-

  31. Tries to begin every conversation with “In US ….” or “When I was in US…”.
